Let us see. One problem you reported about 64-bit compatibility, I responded and fixed.

Another time you were agrieved because EDSharp says "Exit EdSharp" when you press Alt+F4 (even though it selectively voices a number of commands), ratherthan being silent, and even though it is difficult to believe that a short notification about an application closing is a productivity drain..

Another time you charged that all "conversions" were broken in EdSharp and FileDir. Upon investigation, the only thing that was broken was a particular web client utility because it uses a scraping methid, and Google had changed its response to certain queries on its front page. EdSharp and FileDir do many conversions that are working successfully, yet you implied a sweeping, global problem. Even so, I informed you of a way you could generally get the same results with a FileDir feature that you had not tried, evidently because you are habitually quicker to accuse than to read documentation.

The problem is generally not whether you write me directly or post on a list. It is your judgment about when there is actually a problem. Post anything you want on public lists and let others be the judge of who is being reasonable. I am not trying to pick a fight, however, just defending myself against largely baseless attacks from someone who is capable of doing better (at least I still believe that).

Rather than apologizing for any of your mistaken accusations, you persist on attacking. It is up to you, but that is not a recipe for finding support from others.

What exactly is seriously lacking in legitimacy? Do you want me to post the
many email messages I sent you privately with my concerns with the high
number of errors FileDir and EdSharp are producing? You have the error logs,
look through them and tell me I'm making this up. Heck, I can easily
recreate them. Just say the word and I'll post them here. I'm not here to do
any programming. you sent me here to get other listers to help me address
the errors generated by FileDir and EdSharp. All I was trying to do is help
you improve your product and this is how you act? Good bye!

Andre,
I have not responded to your laundry lists of negativity because I have
found that most of them are seriously lacking in legitimacy, just like
this one. That has been the pattern, unfortunately. I advise you to do
some introspection if you want to be a constructive participant in the
programming community.

A better antimalware utility than Malwarebytes? Name it.

This is only one of a very long series of problems I've had with EdSharp.
It
was you who directed me to this list because you felt I was bugging you
too
much in regards to issues with EdSharp. I'm sure if you look in your
previously sent email messages you will find lots of messages where I have
specified in great details the number of crashes and errors generated by
EdSharp. FileDir has many of these same problems too.

Rather than taking this approach why not do as another poster stated and
establish some communication with Malwarebytes and hopefully this will no
longer be a problem for EdSharp.

I am confident that none of those files are malware. They are 32-bit
executables that I compiled with a reputable compiler, PowerBASIC,
published by a commercial software developer that has been in business
for a long time,
http://powerbasic.com

IniForm.exe is a utility that JAWS scripts called to create dialogs via
configuration files in ini format, since the JAWS scripting language
does not include support for user-created dialogs. SayLine.exe and
SayFile.exe are utilities that speak text via any screen reader, part of
the SayTools package that is available at

http://EmpowermentZone.com/saysetup.exe

with documentation at
http://EmpowermentZone.com/SayTools.htm

I suggest that you replace your anti malware program with a better one.
It has unnecessarily disparaged a good application (EdSharp). I know
you did not intend that to happen. In fact, it is understandable that
you would be concerned about such warnings from a program that was
claiming to protect you.

I'm running the Pro version of MB. Most probably run the free version
which
does not run in background and therefore probably doesn't generate this
warning.

I mmay have missed something, but what are the three files that are
reported as suspicious? I found a reference to IniForm.exe in one of
your messages. That is an executable I compiled with PowerBASIC. I
would be shocked if it contained malware. There about 36 web client
utilities that perform various tasks via the web. It actually does not
surprise me that an over zealous malware detector would flag a few of
them. Since this is the first that anyone has reported this to me, I
doubt that other anti malware products are finding them suspicious. I
run Nortin, myself.

You're actually right when you convey your experience with multiple
warnings. I ran a more targeted search on the c:\program files Ed
sharp\webclient folder and received warnings about 3 webClient files
just
as
you described. Though I'm thinking of putting these files on the ignore
list, it would be interesting to know what they are and why they trigger
malware to want to quarantine.

I got about 3-4 malware warnings on edsharp when I ran it. kind of
scarry.
