why are you hiting f11? You must run an application after you fix all errors. That error means that you started the application, it can not start because of an compile eror, but stoped in debuging, you changed the error and hiting again f11 you said to the application to go further. The java virtual machine have seen that an application was modified while it was running and gave that error. So again, please write your code, give "save" and see if you have errors. f11 is not the right key. ----- Original Message ----- From: Homme, James To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, August 27, 2010 5:32 PM Subject: Eclipse: What Does This Error Mean? Hi, Perhaps I should have started with a simpler example, but what does this error message mean. I got it when I let Eclipse fix an error and hit F11. Hot Code Replace Failed Some code changes cannot be hot swapped into a running virtual machine, such as changing method names or introducing errors into running code. The current target virtual machine [main.Main at localhost:3547] from launch [Main] was unable to replace the running code with the code in the workspace. It is safe to continue running the application, but you may notice discrepancies when debugging this application. Reason: Hot code replace failed - Scheme change not implemented Thanks.
