Apparently, functionality of the Windows Script Host is less available than I thought. Since a primary goal of TestPage is convenient installation and use, I have now built an alternative approach to the VBScript one. I ported the code to Visual Basic .NET and compiled it into the executable TestPageGUI.exe. The desktop shortcut now invokes this program instead (though TestPage.vbs is still available in the same folder). I am curious whether this works better for folks who were having problems running TestPage before. The .NET Framework 2.0 is required, but this is practically standard now on any Windows computer. One disadvantage I notice is that the window of the default text editor is not necessarily activated after the report is generated (the report is opened there, but the window does not reliably become the active one). I may be able to code around this .NET issue, but it is significant work, unfortunately. I invite any comparative feedback between the previous and current release. The URL for the installer is the same, http://EmpowermentZone.com/tpgsetup.exe Jamal __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
