I am asking for help, but some of you may find the information in this message useful as well. The liblouisutdml library, which will be used in BrailleBlaster, has Java bindings. It compiles fine on Linux. On the latest Cygwin it would build, except that the jni-config.h file is missing. This contains machine-dependent definitions. Apparently i am supposed to download it from somewhere, but as usual there are no indocations where. To produce native dll's on Cygwin I first create a small script containing gcc -no-cygwin and put it in /usr/local/bin with the name mgcc I then use the configuration call ./configure CC=mgcc -buile-mingw32 This runs, but a subsequent make gives the error message "vfork resource temporariloy unavailable. I supose this is another file I am supposed to download from somewhere. Any suggestions willl be appreciated. John -- John J.
