Hi Ken and all. Thanks for the offer, someone else suggested creating the graphic in word using the normal set of word commands, exporting it to a PDF and then you can generate JPGs from the PDF file which sounds ok and should be doable with out too much effort. Thanks for the ideas. Am a bit mad but if I find the simple program I will send it to you. I had a directory of source code I wrote in college and it is hiding at the moment. One of the short programs I wrote takes a file full of astrexes and spaces and creates a png graphic of it. I have a couple smiley faces and frowns and maybe a Christmas tree I made but I can't find the simple source code. It's not hard to write though so if I can't find it I may write it again for you. What language would you like it in if I have to write it again. I wrote it in c last time. Hi All. I've got a strange question I'm hoping someone might have an answer for. I want to create a set of simple graphics, a black background with a white letter or number on it. I'm putting together a network testing type tool and I want to be able to send a bunch of small graphics over the network and see which ones get there. Does anyone know of a way to create jpegs, gifs, bmps or pngs with out being able to see. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks. Nick.
