The can be made but depending on what language your working in they already
exist. You. You didn't say what language you wanted it in. C, c++ already
has this if you pick win32 and console your all set.
Now if you want something like a console VB short cut as you call it then
the first thing you have to do is realize your calling it the wrong name.
Names are important because they give us the ability to look things up on
Google the master of the universe for developers. The name you should be
calling this thing is "project template" Visual studio 2005 and up give you
a quick method of creating project templates. Here is a web site on
creating one for Visual Basic to make a console application:

Subject: Can visual studio shortcuts like these be made?
Importance: Low

I'd like to know if and how to make two shortcuts to use inside of visual
studio. One would open up a new console application project, and the other
would be used to open up a new windows standard project. It is not
difficult to do the steps to open up a windows standard project but how to
open up a new console application project so far I've not yet been able to
understand or do.
