Calling Buttons

Hi.
well.
got a real strange one.
if i do a application.
and ahve a summary button, calculate, clear, and clear all with text boxes.
and now want to vallidate the summary button.
tried disabled it , but did not work, and i put in a message box if it the
say a integer value - 0.
and it displays the message box, then it displays the summary box.
want it just to display the error message, and not the summary message box.
how do i fix htis problem?
real strange and real annoying.
and tried searching on google, and looked at msdn, but no luck.
got everything else vallidated, and working.
but just this little querky value of calling the other message box, if i
have the value of the integer to less then 0.
and tried calling the button enabled = falsebut not working.
tried even using the hide method,
but still does not work.
can any one shed some light on this.
got the exercises working and did the work my self, and all the calculations
are working, and got the message box formatted on separate lines.
can any one shed some light?
