Thanks for the expleination. Yes, almost all the music software especially for Vst software are written in Cpp. In blind perspective, what's advantage of working on Visual Studio than eclipse? I never used Visual Studio, so I'm not sure how it works. Doesn't Visual Studio allow programmers to write UI much easier than Eclipse? I'm asking because I heard writing UI in Cpp in text is a fairly long process.

Hi, Welcome to the list. I never heard there is a music library for CPP or C#, but if you've heard of it and if you want to work with music, then that's a good thing for you. As for IDE (Integrated Development Environment), I'd say Eclipse would be the best one for C++ (not sure about C#). I personally use Visual Studio 2008 with JAWS 11 (and yes, there is a script for VS2008 for JFW, as I presume you are using that screen reader). I'm not a professional programmer. I never majored in comp sci either, but I took 2 semesters of Java in college and one semester of Java in graduate school. I also taught myself some web programming like Php, Actionscript, and Mysql from reading books. I've been writing Java with Eclipse, and I found it very accessible. I found it fairly easy to write UI in Java, but I don't like how Jaws interact with Java applications with virtual cursor. Also, I have to refresh the screen every time the UI changes. I want to adventure into C plus plus or C sharp, mainly because there are far more libraries for music software in Cpp. I'm wondering what is the best way to approach. I heard there's a script that allows blind programmer to use visual studio, but I'm not sure where to get it. Also, is visual studio the best way for blind programmer to approach cpp or c sharp? I heard it takes long time to write UI in cpp with notepad. I guess I want to find out what would be the best way to start.
