PPM (Perl Package Manager) does ship with Active Perl, but installing anything other than already prebuilt ActiveState packages isn't worth the hassle. Your best bet would be just to install Perl under Cygwin. Then you can use scripts like the CPAN shell to install modules and their dependencies without having to mirror locally. Though I do like the rsync idea if a Cygwin install isn't feasible for some reason. "DaShiell, Jude T.
