Well, I don't agree that PHPMyAdmin is very accessible.
It is much easier to execute some SQL commands using the command line MySQL
client than using PHPMyAdmin or another GUI. At least for those who can't see
at all.
I think that those who need to use MySQL should first learn SQL, because they
probably need it in their programs, so it shouldn't be a problem for them to
use the mysql default client.
I have also just installed MySQL Admin but I don't find it accessible.
In the query browser which would be the most useful of the programs from this
package I couldn't access the field where I need to type the query, but only
the query area where the results should go.
Is there a hotkey for moving the cursor to that field?
In the MySQL Admin I've seen that it is very hard to reach to the field that
modifies a certain configuration variable, and there is not much useful to
modify it than in my.ini, because it just appear its value that should be
modified in an edit field.
And I've also seen that some labels for some variables are not accessible at
all, and only their values can be read, without knowing what means those values.
Should we make some settings in order to make MySQL Admin more accessible?
I think that any database users, including MySQL users should learn SQL first,
and not start learning to use a program that allows them to learn SQL as little
as possible.
