Emacspeak has little to do with this development though; unless someone's
figured out a way to interface with whatever this is using to generate
audio. As in ... theoretically speaking, if Orca can speak, there is some
audio backend, and if there's an audio backend, speakup and emacspeak
should be usable as well. The question is if that backend is pulse, some
simulated version of Pulse or something else entirely, and how much work
would be required to get those projects to work :)

I just installed the last insider preview along with its wsl update and
was able to run orca in wsl, but only after installing lots of gnome
stuff alongside orca, otherwise I got an error regarding at-spy not
running. I was then able to start orca with "orca &" and start vlc
afterwards, and it worked.
