The key to selecting "device" is to use the alt+e hot-key. That radio
group is screwed up and I've never been able to make it work using
arrow keys.

If I remember correctly you can find two radio buttons on the General tab.
Most likely the ”From Database” one is selected and when you’ve focused that
one just press arrow down to shift to the ”From Device” option instead. You
then tab to a button that will bring up a dialog where you can add files.
It’s quite self explanatory.
The hurdle you need to overcome is when you’re back on the Generals tab. In
the lower part there’s a grid with options for the backup file you’ve
selected. You have to check the checkbox that you find in the beginning of
that row. I’m not sure if you have to use the mouse to be able to really
focus the grid. I know there are, or have been some difficulties when
relying on keyboard navigation only.
You might have to select the second node in the tree in that dialog, can be
File as you mentioned. On that page you find a bunch of checkboxes where one
of them allows you to overwrite existing files or similar. If you get an
error while restoring the database you can check that box.

HI All,
I am trying to restore a database. The instructions say to right click
databases, click on restore database.
Then it says to click on device, and click on add to find the file, but I
see no device. All I see are three tabs, general, files, options. Does
anyone know what is going on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
