Hi:

Would it be safe to assume you are using JFW, and if so what version? What
version of Eclipse as well?

Better yet is to type alt+leftarrow.. Both ctrl+q and alt+leftarrow are
important, but ctrl+q doesn't work unless we modify something in the document,
in this case the line with the error.
I continuously learn things about eclipse... This is one more.

Hi,
I tried the shortcut key that Anna said and ctrl+q. ctrl+shift+uparrow to go
to signature and ctrl+q to go to the last location visited.

Best regards

Anna:

Thanks, but I'm not wanting to actually move from where I am with in the
method but more specifically I would like to know the name of the method.

Jim,

Use ctrl+shift+UpArrow to go to the previous member.

Anna:

I'll explain it by an example. Suppose you are fixing errors and from the
Problems window you select an error from the tree view. After you have
clicked on that item you are placed on the error so an "Insert + T" will
announce the class but you might be in a 100 line method somewhere in the
middle so at that point it would be nice to know the method name and or the
method signature.

Jim,

Are you talking about Eclipse editor?

What's the problem with a simple "Read Line" command?

Anna

...is there a JFW key stroke that would read the method name and or
signature in Eclipse much like the insert key plus the letter "T" does for
the Class / Window name?
