G'day Anna,

You should be able to download the documentation bundle from Sun's Java
website. For example, the Java SE 6.0 related details at
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp has a button/link on the page
to take you to the downloadable documentation. After unpacking the bundle
you can then traverse the directories relevant to the area of interest and
read the smaller chunks of material contained within the package specific
files.

The URL above is for 6.0 so you'll need to do some digging around for the
previous release stuff, i.e. Java SE 5.0, etc.

HTH...

Cheers.

AB

Richard,

My co-workers open that link immediately. Could JAWS slow it down?

How to work with this documentation if it takes such a long time to open?

I'm completely lost in Eclipse IDE and this new problem with API
documentation.

Is it possible to get comfortable with it ever?

Thank you very much,

Anna

It took a long time for it to load, but I could read it. I use JAWS 9
and Vista with 3 Gbs ram and can't remember my processing speed right now.
You might give it a little while to open.

Richard

P.S. If anyone would like some simple examples of java programming. I can
attach the program in an e-mail.

Subject: [program-java] Java API

Hi everyone!

I was given the following link for Java API documentation:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/

For some reason my JAWS refuses to read it.

Does anyone know what's wrong and what to do?

Thank you very much,

Anna
