Hmmmm, I know that this is where you or due to a default setting place
the .war file.... Is the war file in question with in that directory?

It's a directory where I can manually deploy my .WAR files.
I had a problem with the Eclipse not creating .WAR files, but it's clear
now with the option "export".

Look in the following dir:

install-dir/domains/domain1/autodeploy/. 

Where "Install-dir" is the directory where you have installed GF... This
is where typically your .war / .ear files are deployed to.
