Jim,
I would not dare to call you, but it was your suggestion.
You gave me your numbers and detail time frame for each one.
Over the period of 2 month I had 4 phone conversations with you, and
once again, it was your suggestion.
Obviously I'll never call you any more, I've already erased all your
numbers.
Also I'm very disappointed that you've decided to discuss this
misunderstanding in front of other people.

Anna:

If experienced programmers don't want to be bugged, then they don't have
to answer.... I just didn't want to respond to you privately and then
have to repeat the same excersise publicly. I also wanted the calls to
my office, evening calls to my home and the weekend calls to the same to
stop.

Yes, you were bothering me off list, but I'm more than willing to answer
anyone including yourself on list during the working week and hours.

I don't suggest novices leaving
this discussion, because we benefit a lot from it.
But why buthering experienced people with questions like "what is
plug-in"?
Last time I asked Jim the question, and he answered something that did
not help me at all. This is because thinks that are obvious for him are
unknown to me.
That's why I suggested organizing Java discussion for novices, because
we have common basic needs.

Yup, it's questions from the floor that remind a trainer of the things
he forgot to cover in the lesson.

Best wishes.

I agree. Many people, advanced and novices included, subscribed because
they want to read other people's questions.

Do as you must, but this entire forum was set up with people such as
yourself and Anna in mind. There is absolutely nothing wrong with
posting questions to the list and having someone on the other end
respond.

Java is a tough language especially if you are coming from a mainframe
back ground.

If you wish to create your own discussion forum, that's your choice but
I feel as though you would be shooting yourself in the foot.

Here we have a free forum, a great number of people, vast and varying
experiences and blind programmers.

Jim

Hi everyone!

For those who is a complete novice in Java like I am.

Let's arrange our internal Java discussion, so we can share our needs
and steps. When we get completely stuck with some issues, we can ask
questions to experienced Java programmers, otherwise will not buther
them.

Is anybody interested?

Anna
