I don't believe in the version I'm currently using 3.3 that there is a feature 
for setting that. However with that said there is something that will break a 
line on a period: E.G.

Annah.giller.is.a.programmer

Would look like this:

Annah
.giller
.is
.a
.programmer

Not exactly what you are looking for.

Is it possible to set maximum number of characters per line, so each line fits 
the screen?

I have Eclipse editor maximized, but some lines are still wider than the 
screen, and it's extremely annoying.
