Jim: Wow man you are asking a lot of a poor old blind man. Here is a link to tonnes of SWT Snipets that you can download and run in your IDE. These will give you examples of the SWT ui interface for desktop applications. Once we get you up to speed we can talk again about the issue I reported. Here's the link: http://www.eclipse.org/swt/snippets/ You shouldn't have to much issue with these, they are complete but if you do I will help you out. Jim James M. Hi Jim, Nope. I've only coded a few main methods, some little classes, and methods and variables inside them. My longest program is maybe 60 lines. Maybe if you zip up some code and tell me how to run it to get this thing to happen I can figure this out. Thanks. Jim: Well, I guess I need to ask you a few questions then. Have you created any SWT Desktop apps yet? If yes, have any had a pop up message? Jim James M. Hi Jim C, Can you please write out a set of steps for me to produce that error? So far, I've only coded a very few Java programs, so I'm not sure what you are trying to tell me. Thanks. Jim H: Using your latest release and having only reduced the speed rate to 37%, I've encountered an issue while running a desktop application with in the Eclipse IDE. I have "User Information Messages displayed during given events and your new scripts will only announce the background information such as the project name, window name and so on. The message that I display is never announced nor is focus brought to my "Ok" button which I have programmatically set as the default behaviour! Let me know if you need more information. Jim C.
