Hey now: ...although the "Inspect" option from the pop up menu appears to hang the IDE, the short cut CTRL + SHIFT + I works like a charm.... Although, inspecting the return of a method is a bit tricky because the inspection doesn't actually execute the method so the return may be in error. The only way to return a proper value is to step through the method to the return line and then inspect the variable in question. Hi: I'm having an issue with my Eclipse 3.3 and JFW 9.0... and no, upgrading either or both is not an option. I might add that if JFW isn't running, the expected behaviour occurs. When I place a "Break Point" on a particular line, run my app in "Debug" mode to the point where execution is broken. I then place my cursor on a variable and right click same.... I then scroll the menu options until I reach "Inspect".... Hitting enter on this option hangs the IDE. However the executing program can still accept key strokes as if it has jumped the "Break Point".... ...any ideas on what's going on or how to get around the issue? Jim James M.
