The best way, in my understanding, and to have total control over the position is to use \rput command. Now, you will have to be careful with the optional alignments arguments of rput: c-> center, r-> right, t -> top, b-> bottom and B-> baseline (they can be combined). The next thing that you should be aware is that outside the pspicture environment, the (0,0) is the place of the last tex character. With this I think you can get the desire behavior.
