No, I did not used blending. I am a total hack on PhotoShop, and
have never had instruction. It's probably a simple matter that did not
respond to my ignorance.

Ethan,
I've had that happen on panos as well. I think it is an artifact of not
having some kind of advanced blending activated in the tool (I'm away from
my workstation right now) but I'm sure Harvey will weigh in with real
insight. Did you activate the advanced blending function?
As a meta-comment to everyone: isn't it great that we can attach images to
share with the list and maybe solve some problems?
