[pls442] citations in papers?

The syllabus suggests that your papers should have citations. This is an error. 
There is no requirement that citations be present. It is only required that you 
relate the paper to course material in some way -- to things that you were 
exposed to. But you need not cite to any particular lecture. However, if, by 
chance, you do happen to have footnotes to the book, this could help your 
grade. But it will never hurt you. This sort of thing is not a requirement.
