I saw that too, but turning it off and on doesn't seem to make

That example script seems to be the problem. I've set up a bash script
that basically does the same thing and it works fine. Perl would work
too. I've done quite a bit of Perl programming and used Platypus to make
apps. Not interactive though - that doesn't work either.
I've read that forward slashes in a script may cause problems, and that
one line uses it:
INPUT=`cat /dev/stdin`
