We usually play Q3 because nobody asks to play Q2. If anyone wants to play
a Q2 game, by all means send something to this list letting everyone know
when you'll be around for a game.
I don't keep a Q2 server process running because it is a memory hog (Q3 is
much better) so I only start it up as necessary. Actually, I was asking
around to see if someone else would dedicated a machine behind THEIR network
pipe so as to "spread the love" a little. I even have a machine I can
"donate" to someone who wants to host the Quake 2 server. I will even link
it to my server status page and give it a hostname (like
game2.servequake.com).
I think Matt expressed some interest in this but I never got back to him.

If you are interested in a game of Q2, let us know when you want to play!
Otherwise .. c'mon man! Get a beefy'er machine :)
