Dianne and all: I’ve got a nest of 3 tiny Towees with their mouths wide open.
Mom and dad no where around. Dad is always looking over the nest. The bush
appeared to be somewhat disturbed with one limb broken. That prompted me to
slightly look at the nest and saw the 3. Unusual that dad is not talking to
me. So what to do? If mom and dad are gone can tiny ones be saved? Thank
you!Edwina Beard Van Slyke

They were supposed to be on both sides of Sumrall but they wound up being Rye
Grass and they were mowing them today. Could not find people planting much of
anything. Sometimes they plant wheat which the Bobolinks like. Did not find
any in the Rye fields.

ARRggghhh This morning I had 2 male scarlet tanagers moving around in the yard
- with nothing to feed them. The last freeze got my Mulberry on my good
tree. The other tree does not have mature Mulberry yet. The late bloomer.
I had one Rose-breasted and a squirrel ran it off..
We are going to see if we can find Bobolinks this morning. If you know anyone
growing Wheat or Oats let us know. They rotate the crop so going to see a
field that had it in 2017.
