As a matter of interest, how much memory does the Pi4 have?
Also is it set up to use a Dynamic Area or the Wimpslot?
(The value of Photodesk$DynamicAreaSize in !Run)
I have Photodesk$DynamicAreaSize set as 256 and I have been running
PhotoDesk 3.14-17 on a Pi4 with 4GB of memory for several weeks now. I
have just tried altering the image cache and I get the following error:
"Photodesk has suffered an unexpected error:
OK to continue, CANCEL to quit."
Clicking OK continues without a crash and Photodesk and RISC OS can still
be used fine. Clicking CANCEL does NOT quit and you can still continue
using Photodesk and RISC OS fine. No irrecoverable errors here. Perhaps
that is because George is using an older version of Photodesk.
I get the same error if Photodesk$DynamicAreaSize is set to 0.
I suspect the Photodesk Image Cache needs to be changed to work in MB
rather than K, otherwise there will be 'Number too big' errors.
I have just had to change my program !MemBar because of this problem.
