Suggestion for the Counter

It seems that every time phorm.php runs the counter is increased by 1 even if
the form was not submitted maybe because of an error or validation problem. It
would be nice for audit control reasons if counter only increased after a form
has successfully passed through phorm. That way one could run a check on the
database and/or log to look for a skipped number.

I mention this because while testing and adjusting on screen form layouts the
last time I looked at the counter I was on number 110 and by the time I got
the output to look the way I wanted it I was on 175 but only logged about 20
of the 65 times phorm.php ran. So there was a big gap in my database. I know
that I was in testing mode but in production things should run mostly ok and
numbers should not skip. So a skipped number would tell of a problem. If an
email hung or was lost while getting to me I would not know that a form was
lost until the next time I run a db query or get an email in that was not the
next counter number I expected.

Just a thought?again now that I have 99% of phorm configured the way I want it
the more I am getting to a PhormAddict! I can?t tell you how many times I have
tried to get cgi/perl scripts to work 80% of the time. It?s nice to have solid
piece of code. Great job!
