They have to go through existance referred to as a partial entity. I mean, 
imagine going through life referred to as a semiperson. We need to rally to 
our little buddies, semi that they may be. They make our programs work. To 
paraphrase Joyce's "A pier is a disappointed bridge," semicolons may well be 
disappointed colons. Besides, semicolons make good pets.
