Hi Linda,
So you can see that Jon is slightly cryptic, as he has been throughout this
affair! He simply ignores the option of wiring the money. I believe that means
he doesn't want to take that route and there's nothing to be done about it. It
could be that he didn't notice that option (I doubt it) and it would be
perfectly fine. But I simply can't mention it to him more than once. We simply
need to do what ever it takes to make his life as easy as possible. The guy is
very sick and he's given us a wonderful gift. End of story.
Soooooooo, please get the check back from Norway and return it to Jon via USPS.
He is sending the replacement check to your address. I doubt he will send a
cashiers or certified check, but I'm sure this one will be legible.
He has been equivocal as to whether he'll do this before or after he receives
the check back from us, so I would try to get it into the mail back to him as
soon as is convenient for you. Please send it to:
Jon Mills
69 Barony Ln
Hilton Head SC 29928
Please keep track of any out-of-pocket expenses like postage. Stuff like that
needs to be reimbursed to us now that we can afford it.
Thanks.
If I don't hear back from Jon I don't plan to write him again. Until the money
is in the bank.
I know this is all pretty odd, but it makes a great story. Jon is struggling
with his illness and I know he is stressing over editing his novel.
