Press release instructions!
Search down for your name and media contact. (If you don't see your name, don't
worry.....I'll have a different job for you!)
Contact the newspaper/station on your list. Ask for the email address to send a
press release/PSA to. Their website may have this information.
Send an email with FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PHOENIX CHORALE TO GIVE FREE CONCERT
as the subject line or, if the newspaper/station would rather you go to their
website to submit the press release/psa, do that instead.
I will send another email containing: 1) text of the Press Release AND 2) text
of the PSA
PRESS RELEASE VS PSA
A press release is many paragraphs of info. A PSA (public service announcement)
is a 30-second blurb ready to be read on air. Radio Stations like PSAs, print
media like Press Releases.
