Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, others a not-so-good thing, and for many, somewhere in-between. They reflect a belief that brothers and sisters have much to offer one another - if they are given a chance. Sibshops are a spirited mix of new games (designed to be unique, off-beat, and appealing to a wide ability range), new friends, and discussion activities. The Sibshop is a great place for siblings of children with disabilities to have their own day out. They will get to play games and meet other children coping with similar issues. Lunch is provided. This is open to children ages 6-15. This is open to siblings only. It will be held at D & D Counseling in Poteau , OK. The first meeting will be Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at D&D Counseling in Poteau. Siblings ages 6-15 are welcome. The event is FREE, lunch provided. If you would like to register email the attached form to <mailto:ktoney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> ktoney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, or print it and bring it the day of the meeting.
