The mail I sent earlier didn't get through, but I have talked with Simon Gauvin today, and now things seem to get moving. The problem is that the CVS-server doesn't have working mail subsystem, and he is going to ask the admins of the university that hosts the server, if they are prepared to allow this server to send off mails.
