I think that is the usual bug with BView not always being able to correctly 
generate ENTER/EXIT/TRANSIT events. You can reproduce this bug with many BeOS 
applications, unless they use some specific mouse-watcher thread that sets 
the view-specific cursor explicitly.

Well, what system are you using? If you use BONE, the headers should be in 
place already. All you normally need is jam, which you can find here:

Please give more detail about where exactly the build fails.
