My understanding is "yes" that is basically what M$ restore does. ERUNT is much faster for one thing and Clint said it also does it better. I'm not sure why but he'll tell us when he gets back on the forum. I'm interested in the comment he made regarding only saving the last 5 days. I'm just not sure how to implement it.
