It doesn't help. Somebody on YouTube tried to hide his Southern accent while talking about FaaaWaaa. It came out as Fie....Errr....Wie....Errr. I should have saved the clip. By the way, YouTube is a great teaching aid. I use it in my computer classes often. However, they changed their format several months ago, and my YouTube Downloader no longer works properly. Are there any good programs out there (did I mention free?) that convert YT directly to a standard Windows format, without going through Flash? David Grossman ( >By the way, you haven't really lived until >you've heard a Southerner talk >about FaaaWaaa. I love it.) (And another BTW, I was born and raised [for the most part] in Louisiana, and at an early age I was often offended by how "southerners" were portrayed in the media, on TV and movies. After attending some early school in Denver, CO and Dayton, OH, and getting some "strange looks" at times when I spoke, I decided at an early age to always speak "proper". When people in other parts of the country hear me speak, they always say something like "You don't sound like you were born and raised in Louisiana". So for me it's always been "firewire" instead of "faaaawaaa", "oil" instead of "all or "awl", "night" instead of "niiiiiiiiiiite", etc. Unfortunately for southerners, when others hear that kind of "southern accent", it's most often associated with natural moronic behavior and a very low IQ. While I have been known to exhibit some "moronic behavior", it's been by CHOICE and premeditation......ROTFLMAO. :-D). -Clint ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
