-=PCTechTalk=- Web site building 101?

After many years with Earthlink template building of my
website, I now have my own domain, and wish to transfer
my pictures and text somehow.. I have it backed up in MS
Word, but it's no problem if I have to start from scratch;
the site is simple..
If I knew *anything* about this, I'd go and search in the
archives, or google, but I need a push in the right direction.
I'm software literate, but totally new to.. this... whatever
"it" is :D
(The domain came and service to me in a trade of use of
land for a tower for highspeed. A good deal, but I while I
like the speed, I do miss my website. It's a "journal" of all
we have done in 9 years, building a ranch in the desert..)
