Interesting little tips I picked up today from the WINXPNews
list.........
Send a Message from your Computer to Anyone's Cell Phone

Want to send a short text message to somebody's cell phone via the
Web? You could generally do this by going to their cell provider's Web
site, but what if you don't know which cell service they use? Now you
don't have to. Just go to the SMS Everywhere Web site and type in the
cell phone number and your message. Check it out here:

Find a human -- when you get those annoying long winded explanations
that never seem to give you the option to speak to a human. Here's a
list of popular companies, and how to get a human on the phone
quickly!

Freeware: Enhanced Paint Program

If you use the Paint graphics program built into Microsoft's operating
systems, you have probably wished from time to time for an enhanced
version. You don't need all the fancy features (or high price) of
packages like Adobe's PhotoShop or even Corel's less expensive but
still a little pricey PhotoPaint, but you'd like a little more than
Paint offers, and you'd like it at no cost. No problem! Some folks at
Washington State University got permission and help from Microsoft in
making a new version of Paint, which they call Paint.NET. It will do a
lot of the things that the commercial graphics programs do. You can
even use layers. If you're looking for a good graphics program but
don't want to pay for it, check this out:
