my son built it for me. It's been up and running almost a week now. I He bought
the components for it from NewEgg - He had it all ready to go in no time, and I
hadn't bought the operating system for it yet! so I had to run out quick to
Costco to buy it.
A DSL router - with full fledge firewall - I'm not the one to ask - but I think
this is what you mean?
we're on cable - and we've had a linksey's wirelessG broadband router for a
good while now. We bought an additional card for my old computer, so it can go
online now too for my daughter. I bought a NetGear Card for it - the price was
right a couple weeks ago at Circuit City with rebates, and my son heard they
were better cards than the linksey's ones - which are more $$$. He said to
stear clear of Belkin - they seem to be advertised a lot now.
anyway - my son said his computer is protected by the firewall in the linkseys'
router. and he hasn't had any problems.
