One should NEVER spend money while confused!

And losses are what most folks have received over the same time span, 
regardless of how good the advisor, guide or fund management tem has been. 
That's just a part of our current financial situation with so many stocks 
losing money.

Still, it doesn't make sense to have three different entities looking over 
(and profiting from) your investments.

Finally, PLEASE take a page from my book and stop worrying about questions 
sounding dumb.  This is YOUR money we're talking about here, not theirs! 
Ask until they explain things in a way that makes total sense to you.  It's 
part of their responsibility to make sure you're not kept in the dark about 
your own financial affairs.  Make them earn the commissions they make from 
your account
