rather than interspersing my answers I'll put them all here - running XP,
followed their removal directions, have AVG but not open, did see that there
was the trial version of Norton's so using add/remove I removed that - now
today I am convinced more than ever that there is a poltergeist that follows
me from computer to computer! Currently Norton still does not show up in
my startup but it seems to have decided it will start up anyhow so no longer
have to be offline until I activate it - only the poltergeist knows what is
going on as Lord knows I don't! thank you for trying to help - I'm just
going to let it be until it starts not loading at startup - Dolores
