Cristy, With keyboards, its usually required to shut down, before you unplug the old one then plug in the new one -- if you don't it might not work, or at least would require a reboot so you might as well shut down anyway before you switch them.. As for your grainy screen follow these steps to change the resolution: 1. RIGHT anywhere on your desktop (not on an icon) and choose "properties" from the popup menu that appears (sometimes it takes a few seconds to come up) 2. Click on the "settings" tab 3. At the bottom you will see a rainbow colored bar -- if it is only on 16 colors then try changing it -- I usually have mine at the highest setting available (32 bit). 4. Click on "apply" and "ok" If it already was on the highest setting (i.e., 32 bit) then thats not the problem. If there are no options other than 16 color available then you need to find an updated driver for your graphics adapter and install it, then follow the above steps. Hope that helps! ~Lacey~ 3. ----- Original Message ----- From: "cristy" <poppy0206@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 01, 2004 10:57 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: keyboards > Hi, I want to change keyboards for awhile since this one is getting hard to > type on, I have a cordless one.
