You have to uncheck the box under trusted zone and sites that says: "require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" then it will put it in to the trusted zone. been there, done that! cris ----- Original Message ----- From: Judith To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 2:19 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: ie Security Warning not coming up Well your idea about putting it into the trusted zone did not work because it does not start with an https: and won't accept an address from my hard drive. All the html pages are on my hard drive because they are the files I work with for change wording, etc. before I upload to hosting server. The block says: To help protect your security, IE has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options.... And to get rid of it, I click on the X But I have to do this with every page I want to change and I have over 70 or more pages of my website on my hard drive. Now that block will not show once it is uploaded on my web hosting server. I have Win XP home and I see no reason why this warning should show internally (i.e. files on my hard drive) and not externally (files on the Internet).
