I started having trouble with spybot just recently. Used to all the time and then it seemed to clear up for months. Problem started again. I had to fuss too much with it over and over so I dumped it. A now and then stickler isn't bad but when it gets too incessant, now that just goes too far. ml ----- Original Message ----- From: "~OoO~" <sirtroth@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, October 19, 2005 6:36 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: can someone try this?? Do you have the latest version installed? The problem you are describing is a common problem some people are hit = with. If you haven't tried yet, completely uninstall it, then reinstall = it. Also... be aware that since it needs to check online for updates, you = need to make sure nothing is blocking it without giving you notice (for = example, ZoneAlarm, or another Firewall). Shut them off temporarily and = see if you can update. ---Troth -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx = [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of cristy Sent: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 6:54 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=3DPCTechTalk=3D- Re: can someone try this?? im having a hard time updating my spybot, when i try to do it and = download=20 definitions, I always get these weird errors or messages with red = crossed=20 out line on them and it wont update. cristy=20 -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ -- No virus found in this incoming message.
