Even MORE velly intwesting.

I had copied all important stuff from the HP Data drive (the 500GB drive) in
preparation for a reformat/partition to get rid of all the stuff from the
great data drive fiasco that started this whole process.

I just went to do the formar/partition and to my great surprise the data
drive is now drive C: on physical disk 0. XP is drive E: and Vista is drive
D:. Both on physical disk 1.

I am now very hesitant to format/partition the data drive for fear it may
delete file(s), such as ntldr or the MBR, that are required for the system
to boot.

I will recklessly investigate a bit while I await comments from the list. I
may even reboot to Vista and use EasyBCD to rewrite the Vista boot.

Not frustrating to me. I was all hyped up to do a clean install of Vista to
get it back. I don't need to now. I'm a happy camper. I don't know how or
why whatever happened happened, but I'm not frustrated over it.

That is VERY interesting! Frustrating, too.
