Never sent a notification... someone was having trouble finding the backup program in Windows and I just happened to already have it on my site as a tip. So, just pasted a link to the page. Keyboard Cowboy happened to inquire further on the link. :o) Woot... I found it awhile ago on recommendation from a friend. They basically sell one item per day and that's it. Usually the item is dramatically cheaper than regular retail. On occasion, the item may be refurbished, but it always states so in the production information page. I've bought from them before and received the product without any problems within about 5 days. The shipping cost is cheap too, usually just $5. And, when they have nothing to sell, they have a "bag of crap" I think as its called. Just some miscellaneous stuff they sell for like $5 I think. Never ordered that, so can't say what's in there. But, to answer your question, there's no need to sign in or give them any more info than needed to make a purchase... credit card info, name, address (and I think email, but don't remember). Email may be optional. I never got spammed from them, to my knowledge, although nowadays who knows where the spam is coming from. In general they're a regular store. I think they are a wholesaler that just sells off surplus items. If you read the forums, like in their first few posts back when they began, someone asked them who are they, and they basically responded that they wish to remain anonymous as the actual company name, as they don't want their clients getting pissed off at them selling this stuff cheaper than retail (or probably what they sell to the clients). You can get more info on them here: http://www.woot.com/wootinfo.aspx ---Troth -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bashful Bob Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2005 12:27 PM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Troth's website Hi Troth Must have missed your notification about your web site.
