Are you actually clicking on the drive your CD is in  and not 
seeing what's on the CD?  No file names?

Went to Google and looked up "CD won't read" and the problem 
might be the difference in what you burned the original CD with 
and what burner program you now have on your new machine.  Or at 
least that's what they said in one of the things on google.
