Hello, another consideration to think about with power supplies is the noise they make. My computer tower sits on my desk 2ft away from my ear so I like a Quiet one<G> Mike the mod ******* REPLY SEPARATOR ********* On 6/13/2008 at 4:26 PM cajun12 wrote: I'm looking at the PC Power & Cooling 500 Watt and 610 Watt at Newegg. They're the same price after a rebate on the 610 that's good for only 3 more days. I don't see a 650 watt. No reviews yet on the 500Watt, over 200 reviews on the 610. Several people got a dead unit, and quite a few others are complaining at how super long the cables are and that they may be restricting air flow and really need to be tacked up. Also, they say it's really long and won't fit in a small case very well. My new case is pretty roomy. 20 I've gone through power supply calculators at several sites, but they don't yield anywhere near the same results, and all say I need less than 500 Watts. I sure hope this will solve my problem so I don't have to start replacing anything else. The board itself is going to be near the same range as the psu (hopefully), but it's what I'll have to get with the board that'll drive my $$$ up (RAM and SATA drive). dj --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
