Hi Cris,
That may have been what happened but I use nearly all that disappeared daily
to keep my machine cleaned from garbage. I have replaced all the short cuts
on the DTop but have found another problem that bothers me more. I can
defrag all of my drives except C. It errors when ever I try with:
'Error ScanFat:scan aborted - fatal Error:\?\C:\PAGE FILE.SYS'
Any suggestions for this problem? I would like to know how to disable that
cleaning of the desktop of all icons """NOT BEING USED""" I use them all
with great frequency!

Perhaps the Clean Desktop of unused icons program ran. I think it is set to
automatically run every so often unless you change it.
