I googled and found references to blocking 'baddies' by creating a 'hosts' file. but not one word about how to get rid of a possible infection from it. I fought shy of actually going to the site itself, ["zviframe.biz"] for obvious reasons. cheers Ted ----- Original Message ----- From: "FreeLists Mailing List Manager" <ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "pctechtalk digest users" <ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2005 9:15 AM Subject: pctechtalk Digest V3 #292 | Please remember to trim (delete any unrelated text) and adjust the subject lines of your replies to this digest.------------------------------------ | pctechtalk Digest Thu, 06 Oct 2005 Volume: 03 Issue: 292 | | In This Issue: | -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Need Help with Virus | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Date: Thu, 6 Oct 2005 03:13:10 -0500 | Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Need Help with Virus | From: donelias@xxxxxxxx | | I don't think people really read the description of my problem. | I can't use an on line scanner if the virus keeps me from | getting on line. I tried Avast, AVG, Spybot, and AdAware | and none of them found the problem with my system. | I manually deleted the files that the virus installed on my | system and it is now working without problems from the | virus.
