Welcome Maud, No, it won't harm anything. Many people never shut down -------Original Message------- From: maud jarvis Date: 04/30/05 19:50:16 To: PCTechTalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Just testing to make sure I`m in Hi I had a bit of bother to begin with getting in, but it now looks as if I`ve managed it at last, so this is just testing to make sure. I`m still fairly new at using computers and am not yet familiar with some of the lingo, I hope to learn more as I progress. I have Windows XP, and would like to know, is it safe for the computer to be put on "Hibernate" when I finish for the day? I find its such a problem getting started the next day, if I shut down completely, and have discovered that if I put it on Hibernate, its so much easier to begin next day, but is this ok, can I harm the computer in any way? Thanks. -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/
